03-09-15 A Few Firsts In March

over the last few days...
...March 8th was a day of 'firsts'...the first humpback in Haro Strait for 2015...Big Mama she is nicknamed...BCY0324...

...and the first Mouflon lambs on Spieden Island...nicknamed 'Cutie'...aren't they all!

...then last evening - March 9th...sounds on the hydrophones...J Pod came back down...good?...maybe not...they maybe ran out of food up there...
...it was a first for hearing J pod in March this year..over the Orca Sound hydrophones and on the Lime Kiln hydrophones...

...thanks for coming by J pod...hope you are going to the next good location for salmon...just don't let the humans know...save it for yourselves...
