8-10-13 The L54s and Friends, Again...

Saturday, August 10th
...the L54s came up past the lighthouse again this morning, spending close to two hours a mile or so north of the lighthouse...
...when they were coming back down island, Coho L-108 leaped several times...always great to see and not something we see that often...

... a couple images from the afternoon trip on Maya's Westside Charters...the same six whales were present as the last few days...foraging along with all the sport fishing boats...I wonder 'who won'...the fishermen or the whales...
...it looked like we were getting a wave from this harbor sea pup...

...all in all it was a good day, sunshine, nice seas, a few whales...we were very glad they were here and they appear to be getting enough salmon to want to stay around...
...but we were still wondering when J pod would show up again...after all it has now been 29 days since they were last here. This is the second time this season that J pod has now been gone for 29 days in a row.
