5-22-14 Turns Out They Were Terns!

Thursday, May 22nd
...no whales did we see today...but Capt. Jim and I were so excited to see something else!
...two small birds on a log...

...he spotted them...so we slowed and took pictures...of course...

...their beaks got my attention...I'm not a birder but was excited to try to figure out who they were...

...we were out by Hein Bank (that's several miles from shore)...

...that's all the pictures...and it may be the only time I ever see a Black Tern...
