A friend asked about how to tell the difference between a Steller and a California...well, the Stellers helped with that today and the next day (next post) California sea lions helped out too...
I have seen branded Steller sea lions at some of the haul-outs, but this is the first time I saw this...am sending it to the Steller researchers...not easy to tell the number, but I'm sure they will. since it has a Y at the end, I believe that means it comes from the Rogue River, Oregon.
