8-7/8-13 The L54s and Friends are Here

Wednesday/Thursday, 8-7/8-13

Ino L54 with her three kids, and Wave Walker L-88, and Nyssa L-84 are here!

Glad to have some Residents in the neighborhood.  They seem to be doing lots of foraging.

...early morning at the park yesterday...
...this is what got me to the park early this morning...

...I had to assume it was the same whales as yesterday...but then I met a couple from Montana who happened to see the whales...he showed me his images from which I was able to verify it was indeed the same whales as yesterday...thank you very much :)

...a few pics from yesterday and today...
...Ino L-54...
...rough seas both days...
...Wave Walker L-88...
...the six whales traveled along the west side, not ever making it to the lighthouse, except for early this morning...
...yesterday when I saw them, L-117 was with mom, Ino L-54...Indigo L-100 and Coho L-108 spent some time with the two adult males, Wave Walker L-88 and Nyssa L-84...
...but today mom, Ino L-54, was way in shore and the other five were offshore, sometimes goofing around together...

...Nyssa was in the kelp!
...Wave Walker, Indigo, Coho and the tip of Nyssa's fin...
..did someone get the call to 'come running'?...
...a moment when a swell moved just enough to get a glimpse of Wave Walker under the surface...
..just when I thought little L-117 was showing signs of being a female by being with mom all the time, today blew that theory...L-117 was with the boys during the afternoon...
...L-117 with Wave Walker and Nyssa...
...L-117 with the two brothers...Coho L-108 and Indigo L-100...

...all the while mom was way in shore by herself.
