...yesterday - a group of whales spotted at Neah Bay - incoming...
...not seen again yesterday...it was a nasty, rainy day out there...
...then from midnight until 7a.m. this morning - island wide power outage...
...no hydrophones to listen to...
...today 2pm - J Pod in the Strait of Georgia
...9:14pm - J Pod on the Orca Sound hydrophones coming down...
...the last time they were heard on the hydrophones (Lime Kiln HPs then) was March 3rd!
...on May 1st, J pod whales (well at least Mike J26 - the image confirmed by the Center for Whale Research) were seen off the Russian River, Ca.- that's hundreds of miles away...almost to San Francisco...
...that's a long way to travel and a lot of energy spent since May 1st...
...hope they find their return worth the trip...
...if you didn't get to hear them or you want to hear them again...
Maybe they made
an initial pass through
to check on
the salmon situation.
