...it was a K pod day...
...Cali K-34 began it...foraging out from the lighthouse for a while before other K13 family members came along...
...somewhere in the group Cappuccino K-21 surfaced close to shore...
...just ahead of him were his usual traveling companions Opus K-16 and her boy, Sonata K-35...
...extremely cropped and adjusted to show the rake marks K-35 recently acquired...DoubleStuf J-34 showed up some similar rake marks in July...click here to see those...
...out on Peregrine with Capt. Jim we met up with the K13s and the K14s each in their own traveling groups...they were heading up Boundary Pass...
...sometimes the whales go surfing in these monster ship wakes...but there wasn't much of that today...
...it was interesting that on this day the K12s were with J pod and not the K14s, who had been spending most of their time with Granny J-2's group...they were somewhere, but it's been such a blur lately, that when I post for 9/5 that will most likely come to light as to where the K12s were...so sorry to be so far behind...blame it on the whales!
