4-28-14 Greeted With A Spyhop!

Monday, April 28th
...leaving the harbor on Maya's Westside Charters with rough seas we were going to attempt to get over to Victoria area...my, oh my...we could hardly believe how the seas were calming down...it was beautiful!...and we were on our way to whales!
...upon arriving, we were greeted with a...

...the T65As were having a meal...and soon began traveling...in the right direction for us - toward San Juan Island...

...along her trailing edge at the top is a bit of a lump...since it was challenging remembering all these numbers...well, she was one of the first so I gave her a nickname so I could remember her - Lumpy!

...with Trial Island in the background the whales were still heading toward San Juan Island...

...we left them heading up Haro Strait on the Vancouver Island side...

...and we didn't think we would see whales today...
