9/8-9/14 Interspecies - Human and Humpback This Time

Monday/Tuesday, September 8-9th
...the Residents had headed west...way west...
...the T60s showed up south of Victoria...
...I have only seen the T60s a couple times...this is a new notch for me, but it doesn't look like a new notch on this whale...
...on Maya's Westside Charters while we were watching them we learn of two humpbacks out in front of Snug Harbor - where we had departed from!...
...back over to see them!...BCZ0298 and BCY0523...BCZ0298 is aka Split Fin and the other was new to me...

...Steller sea lions had showed up at Green Pt...that's a first for that location for this season...
...and some Fallow deer were showing themselves...
...along the Cactus Islands...

...now that's just too funny!

...the season is changing toward fall...September can be some of the best whale watching...hopefully this year will be the same...why?...because of the salmon run(s) in the fall...it seems the fall run(s) are the best of what is left...and that is extremely sad for everyone...did you know that over 137 species rely on salmon?...and humans are only one of them...but it's ONLY the humans who can take the actions that can save the salmon...so now what?
