...yes, it was windy and choppy seas and we were heading across Haro Strait to the Saanich Inlet...
...it was also about where they were going...
...the T101s and T102 were a group and the T100s and T124A1 were traveling as a group, for a total of 11 whales...
It was a great day for all who saw the whales and hopefully for the whales and their trip down the inlet and back.
Tuesday, July 8th ...well the Residents left the area... ...it was so nice for some Transients to show up... ...what an interesting combination too...the T36As - A, A1 and A2, T75B and T124A1...
...out with friends for a quick trip to see the whales who were over near Flat Top Island where the whales took a harbor seal...
...later in the day on Maya's Westside Charters we caught up to the Ts in Swanson Channel...this man and his dog were having quite an encounter!...
...the whales took at least one more seal while we watched them - seal is on the left...
...they seemed to be toying with it for quite a while...
...no word on the Residents by the end of the day today...everyone thinks they will be gone for a while, including me...I plan on sleeping in tomorrow morning...
